The differences between living in dormitory and home.

I had lived outside in the rented house along for four and half years, and have moved into the dormitory recently. Both of them are quite different from living at home with parents. Living at home and in dormitory is similarly acceptable for many students. Each of them has their own merit and demerit.

The differences between these places are freedom and convenience. The most appealing attraction to live in dormitory is freedom. Basically, students living off-home can do every thing as they like without parent’s restriction. In addition, it would be fun to stay with the same age roommates. They can go out with friends in the midnight or discuss the assignment with roommate. In contrast with living in dormitory, living at home has less freedom than living in dorm. You have to go home and go to bed on time not to mention staying outside and playing whole night long. And even if you are completely exhausted when you get home and yearn for silence and relax, there is still someone will remind you a lot of things to do.

Speaking of convenience, no matter living at home or dorm has advantages in different ways. Living in dorm is convenient in traffic. Classrooms are just hear by where you live. You don’t have to wake up early and take the crowded transportation to school. All you have to do is sleep until the ten minutes before the beginning of class, then get up and go to classroom with free and easy. However, living at home is convenient in living which is more important than traffic. The cleaning clothes will always appear automatically in your closet, garbage will be removed everyday and there are lots of food to eat without buying and cooking. All the house works will be done before you get home.

General speaking, living in dorm is more freedom and living at home is more convenience. I can never tell which one is much better. I have experienced each of them and enjoyed in both very much.

Your topic sentence: each of them(living in the dorm and at home) has their own merit and demerit.

You compare the differences between these places in freedom and convenience.

文章內容很清楚的比較出兩者差異,且也舉了相當多的例子來支持你的看法。Good!
